Mama said there would be days like this.
It really wasn't a bad day just a hectic one.  I was standing at the door waiting to hand John a baby as soon as he got home from work.
It started just like every other day.  John got up at 4:30am with a crying baby ready to eat.  I was able to sleep until about 8, which is awesome. (thank you so much John)  Tabby woke me up and was ready to play, by the time I brought her to the living room Chloe was screaming.  I got the girls settled and at 9 I started feeding them their morning snack.  PJ slept in, he hasn't been feeling well.  At 9:30 I woke him up for his morning snack.  By 10 everybody was happy.  By 10:30 PJ spit up all over himself and the exersaucer.  I cleaned him up and changed his clothes.  Ian worked in his workbook this morning and then put about half an hour into his oil painting.  I finished up his stage 2 model car, the tail lights were too small for him to get glued.  I put a load of clothes in the washer, emptied the dishwasher, vacuumed the living room floor, straighted up the office a little, took the dog out to potty, and cleaned up the paint brushes.  At 12 Noon it was time to feed babies again.  The Occupational therapist arrived at 12:30.  I finished feeding the babies by 12:45 and handed them over to Jennifer, their therapist.  I loaded the dishwasher (mostly bottles and nipples), changed the laundry over and started another load.  I thought that I was done washing for the day. Then Ian washed my car and when he was finished he was soaking wet, no surprise there.  More dirty clothes.  Nana came over at about 2pm with a project for Father's Day that involved paint.  Babies and paint, now that's what I call a mess.  More dirty clothes.  Well it wasn't that bad, but all the babes did have to get a bath.  Nana bathed, diapered, dressed, and put them all to sleep.  She must of had some magic fairy dust.  She even took Ian to run errands with her for about an hour.  PEACE, finally.  During my hour of reprieve I printed some pictures and started another Father's day project.  By the time Nana and Ian got back PJ had woken up.  Ian and I worked together on this project for about half an hour before PJ let me know he was hungry.  It was 4pm and time for another bottle anyway.  I fed all three of them while Ian continued to work on the project.  Not yet finished but needing to be picked up before John got home so we wouldn't ruin the surprise, Ian cleaned up the huge scrap book mess that was spread all across the living room floor.(Kudos to Ian)  He was even able to get the surprise hidden before anyone knew what we were up to.  I took the dog out to potty again and came back in to three crying babies.  PJ just needed his wookie put back in his mouth, Chloe was just being Chloe, and Tabby had a belly ache.  5:20, Cora arrives to pick up Ian and helps put Tabby back to sleep.  5:30, John pulls up and I meet him at the door to hand him Chloe.  Ian gets sent outside to pick up his mess from washing the car and to wind the water hose back up. Cora and Ian leave.  5:45, Thinking I had a few minutes I called Poppie, as soon as he answer the phone, Mr. Hall, our neighbor comes over.  I told Poppie I'd call him back in a few minutes. John has been working on his computer and Mr. Hall wanted the status.  John finished fixing it real quick and carried it back over to his house to hook it up.  6:30, John is back but only long enough for us to decide that McDonald's would be the quickest and easiest thing for dinner.  7:15, we finish eating.  Thanks again to John, I get a few minutes to come in here and upload new pictures to the website and write this.  8:00, John feeds the babies their last bottle of the day and puts them down for the count.  Before I go to bed I will need to take the nipples, caps, and rings out of the dishwasher so they can finish air drying, put the last load of clothes in the dryer, boil the rice and puree it for tomorrows bottles, feed the dog, and finally, turn the TV off, shut the curtains, and lock the doors.

5 Months Old

The babies are all doing great.  Everybody can roll over from their tummy to their back.  They are reaching for things.  The Occupational Therapist said that PJ will probably be sitting up on his own by the end of this month.  They are all sleeping through the night and eating baby food.  Chloe does not like the green Veggies but PJ and Tabby will eat anything.  PJ talks and giggles the most, Chloe is still our little screamer, and Tabby just takes it all in.

It's a...

The bone structures are starting to calcify so we can see faces and spines and arms and legs.

Michelle is doing fine. She has good days and not so good days but that goes with the territory.

It all checked out

Tuesday evening, when I got home from work, Michelle was complaining of a fast pulse. We decided to run down the street to a drug store and check her blood pressure. We always have to be mindful of that (I think it's time to get a monitor for the house) because high blood pressure could be a sign of difficulties. Her blood pressure was just a little out of normal range so we called the doctor and he said go on into the emergency room.

After a few test, they determined that the heart palpitation could be anything from nerves to stress but it wasn't anything to be very concerned about. They did however suggest that we follow up with her OB the next day.

When we went in they did another ultrasound just to check all the little guys out (pictures to follow). Everybody looked good, including Michelle.

I don't mind getting everything checked out when we get a clean bill of health. I don't know how much longer she will be able to work. After only three days, this is the result. We will talk with her regular OB when he gets back to see what he wants to do.

It was kinda cool to be referred to as Dr. Waterfallen's triplets though. As many times as I hear it ... well ... it just never looses it's impact. We're gonna have triplets!

Baby A - baby b just had to squeeze into this picture, the ultrasound tech was able to get an arm in clear view though

Baby B - just hanging out enjoying the spotlight

Baby C - this little guy just wouldn't sit still to get his picture made

Babies A and B - they are sitting head to head with their arms up ready to box ... Should I be worried about this?

The next ultrasound will be Friday the 25th but I will post as many updates as I can.

Zzzzzz.....

Well it's Tuesday, Michelle's third day back at work, and I am sure she will be ready for bed when I arrive home. Yesterday she was so very tired after working.

We'll see how this work thing continues to go. I really hope she can work as long as possible, just not at the expense of her health. She has been off for a few weeks so I am sure that has just a little to do with it. It's always hard to get in the swing of things but I know she can do it.

Maybe I am too early but...

Michelle has been feeling better the last couple of days. She has almost stopped taking the progesterone (per doctor’s orders, of course). That seems to be a great part of her nausea issue. She has also learned that sucking on a lemon for a bit helps with her indigestion.

I am sure there will be new challenges for us to face as the pregnancy develops but sometimes all you can do is wait. I am just happy that she has had a couple of good days.

This is the begining

I waited as long as I could to put this site together but I can wait no longer. 30fingers30toes.com was born on August 7, 2006. The babies will be here in a few months but there is so much to do and say and so many people to do it with I though this would be a great place for everyone to come and get the latest information.

So the online portion of our adventure begins today.

They are moving around!

And they are starting to look like babies.

Now for what you came here for...

3 Hearts Beating

What a weekend we had. Michelle and I both developed some sort of stomach type bug. Michelle got a couple of days at the resort (read: hospital) and just as she was getting released I was getting ill. We are all better (mostly) now.

We did get some great news this morning that makes all of the suffering worthwhile. We heard three little hearts beating! Michelle will be 8 weeks along on Thursday so that means it is still early and things could change. At 12 weeks we can be more positive on the numbers but for now it is three and I can't wait!

So now for the picture...
